For a couple weeks now, this post (poem? prose?) has been making the rounds on tumblr. It's written by a World-level judge and we think it paints a beautifully-worded picture of what an adjudicator truly looks for on stage. It starts with comments about technique and rhythm, all those basics that you've known about from day one. But it finishes by touching on that element of your performance that goes beyond crossed feet and perfect trebles.
We think this is a fitting read as we head into our final months of preparation for the 2015 North American Championships. Take a moment to review this adjudicator's thoughts and see if there are some things worth remembering for the next time you stand in front of one.
